Mr. Rajitha Basnayake holds a Masters Degree in IT with a Distinction from Keele University, UK in addition to his Australian and British Professional qualifications in IT. He also holds an Executive Diploma in Business Administration with a Distinction from the University of Colombo.
He brings with him over 12 years of experience as a Senior Management person who led crucial IT operations and technology advisory services.
Mr. Basnayake was formerly the Director for Technology Advisory Services at Ernst & Young Sri Lanka for three years. Mr. Basnayake has acquired extensive experience in providing Technology advisory services to the financial service sector having managed information systems reviews, formulation of IT strategy plans and system implementations of leading banks, insurance companies and stock exchanges. He possesses a vast experience in ERP systems and supply chain automation as well.
Prior to joining Ernst & Young, he was the Head of IT for 4 years at the Lion Brewery Ceylon Ltd. He served for 5 years as Manager Information Technology spearheading the Distribution division of the Richard Peiris Group. Mr. Basnayake was also on the visiting lecture panel for MSc IT programmes conducted by the Informatics Institute of Technology.
